Many families in our community struggle with food insecurity while local restaurants and supermarkets often throw away edible surplus food. Our business, Banco de Alimentos Comunitario, will collect and redistribute this surplus to families in need. This reduces waste and ensures that more people have access to nutritious meals.

The problem chosen to address is street insecurity—an issue that affects everyone on a daily basis, especially those who travel frequently. Zafe! Seeks to mitigate and prevent the effects of insecurity by providing not only safe routes but also real-time information about street conditions, such as lighting, nearby businesses, damaged roads, pedestrian crossings, and traffic lights. Zafe! Also provides information about the safety level of different areas, the location of police stations and hospitals, as well as support from and for its own community—placing strong emphasis on this last aspect to ensure information is continuously updated.

The problem in our community is pollution, such as paper and plastic waste. We want to reduce the produced garbage. Therefore, we propose reusing it and turning it into eco-friendly products.
