Thanks to ongoing efforts by our Innovation Programming team, Clubhouses are starting a wide range of projects and career awareness events coming out of emerging technologies!

AI and XR (VR + AR):  This year’s RE@CH Medica Festival creative project submissions to our new category called AI are truly amazing. The XR (VR and AR) category continues to shine, as do all the others! Stay tuned for opportunities coming soon to vote on your favorite projects (our submission deadline is August 15). www.ClubhouseReach.org

VR Filmmaking: In San Jose, California, the City invited the MACLA Best Buy Teen Tech Center members to use 360-degree cameras to tell a story about a new series of hiking trails in the nearby hills. This material has been edited by MACLA’s youth, and they’ve been running demos at their Teen Tech Center. Stay tuned for announcements.

Motion Design:  At the Teen Tech Center @ Gold Crown in Lakewood, Colorado, a youth member was recently inspired by our Gravity Sketch career chat, where he asked questions of the speaker. Then he worked with the enrichment director, Brittany David, who had attended our AI Cohort, to begin using Gravity Sketch for VR. He is planning to create an AI video next.

3D Printing:  At the Hybla Valley Clubhouse in Alexandria, VA, thanks to a very talented and inspiring coordinator, youth members are learning 3D modeling and printing at an advanced level.

Competitions:  The St. Louis Teen Tech Center has a new leadership team currently on a listening/learning tour across the network. They will create competitions for innovative technology activities at their site, to constantly drive fresh interest and development of new skills.
